-Your Lunar -'ToDo' List -

Lunar Phase - 4th Quarter, Begins Sunday March 7 - Arbor Day (Calif), Sunday March 7

Saturday/Sunday: Moon in the sign of of Sagittarius – Harvest, cultivate, plant tubers & fruit trees ... Dahlias provides color all summer long. Dahlias tubers are still available at many garden centers.

Later in the Week:

Monday/Wednesday: Moon in the sign Capricorn – Graft, prune and fertilize. ...Fruit, shade, and flowering trees are fed 16-16-16. You apply a half a pound of fertilizer per inch of trunk diameter around the drip line.

Other 'ToDo' Things...

... This is the time to divide Daylilies, Agapanthus and other hardy perennials. There are no special techniques or precautions to learn. I would use a round, nosed/pointed shovel to dig around the fleshy, tuberous roots system. The clumps are lifted out of the ground and sliced into as many segments as you like. Novice gardeners will have a high degree of success.

...You prevent Camellia Petal Blight be keeping the area under the plants from spent flowers and other debris.
