Your Lunar-'ToDo' List -

Lunar Phase - 4th Quarter, Begins Wednesday May 5

Saturday/Sunday: Moon in the sign of Sagittarius Plant for root growth, prune, harvest and cultivate …Mugho pines as well as other varieties can be kept small by pruning the candle growth, which is the immature new growth. The candles are easily removed with a pair of hand or hedge shears.

Later in the Week

Tuesday/ Wednesday/Thursday: Moon in the sign of Aquarius – Harvest, cultivate, weed and control pests. ...The white foamy stuff is from the Spittle Bug. They do little harm and are best controlled by washing them off with water.

Other 'ToD0" Things

...With warm weather, it is time to reestablish the watering basins around trees and shrubs especially those on a slope. I would build the basin higher on the downward slope to prevent the water from rolling away.

... And finally, it is not too late to prune spring flowering trees and shrubs such as, lilacs, snowball, cherries, redbuds, and plums. All to often gardener let these plants go as they think it to late.
