Lunar Phase - 2nd Quarter begins on Sunday February 21

Saturday/Sunday: Moon in the sign of Taurus Plant seasonal color and leafy vegetables.

…Transplants for Spinach, Lettuce and Swiss Chard are now available to plant

Later in the Week:

Monday/Tuesday: Moon in the sign of Gemini – Plant vines ...The early flowering vines are now showing color at your favorite garden center. The vivid purple blooming Hardenbergia is the first to bloom.

Wednesday: Moon in the sign Cancer – Plant season color …Alyssum and Iceland Poppies are just a few of many seasonal color plants available for planting.

Other 'ToDo' Things...

. This is an excellent time to prune conifers. The pruning wounds will callus over before the invading insects are active. Conifers include junipers, cedars, pines and cypress. In addition, it’s not necessary to seal these wounds, as the natural plant resins do it for you.
