Your Lunar-'ToDo' List -

Lunar Phase - 2nd Quarter, Begins Wednesday April 21 - Earth Day, Thursday April22

Saturday/Sunday: Moon in the sign of Gemini - ... It’s time to reestablish the watering basins around trees and shrubs especially those on a slope. I’d build the basin higher on the downward slope to prevent the water from draining away too quickly.

Later in the Week

Monday/Tuesday: Moon in the sign of Cancer Plant seasonal color …Zinnias, Vinca Rosea, and Salvia is now available for planting.

Other 'ToD0" Things

…. Camellias, Azaleas and Rhododendrons are feed monthly now with Azalea, Camellia and Rhododendron Food through October. Osmocote is alternative with an application now and a follow up one in July. Also, clean up all the spend flowers that gather at the base of the plants..

…It’s a good time to reseed bare spots and thicken up thinning lawns. For bare spots, I would reseed the blank areas; however, for thickening, you need to reseed the entire area. Also, in those areas that are shady, I’d use a shade mix and blend the seed into the sunny areas.

...And finally, it’s not too late to prune spring flowering shrubs that have finished blooming.
